Verrado High School Vipers have had an impressive season so far. On September 28, they triumphed over Willow Canyon, 20-6, following a solid 35-14 win over Apollo High School on September 21. Earlier in the season, they defeated Estrella Foothills 28-21 on September 14 and Millennium High School 21-7 on September 7. Their only loss came on August 31 to Desert Mountain, 14-28. The Vipers are on a three-game winning streak and are determined to keep their momentum going.
Marcos de Niza High School Padres have also been strong contenders. They defeated La Joya Community 35-34 on September 28, adding to earlier victories against Mountain Ridge (42-21 on September 21), Sandra Day O’Connor (28-14 on September 14), and Cactus Shadows (35-14 on September 7). Their season opened with a 28-14 win over Hamilton High School on August 31. The Padres are in great form and will be looking to maintain their dominance.
